Our Love Story

Andaz San Diego is a kaleidoscope of local history and culture set amid the Gaslamp Quarter. The Gaslamp Quarter is sixteen square blocks of Victorian era buildings offering more than 100 of the city’s finest restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, and retail shops.

Originally opened in 1913 for the World’s Fair to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal, our historic building has been transformed into the benchmark for modern luxury and style in San Diego.

Our boutique hotel with 159 rooms offers 18,000 sq. ft. of imaginative event space including The Rooftop by STK which is the largest, premier rooftop pool, bar and dining in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Ceremony Venues

West Rooftop

This venue offers a fully retractable rooftop looking over the San Diego Skyline and creates a unique and casually elegant setting for a rehearsal dinner or reception.

Ceremony accommodates up to 240 guests
Reception accommodates up to 200 guests

Gallery Ballroom

The Gallery Ballroom is located right off the main entrance and this dynamic space offers private entrances, spiral stair case arrival, outdoor terraces and a truly dynamic space with art showcasing the San Diego community.

Studio Ballroom

This is the main ballroom showcasing over 3,200 square feet with beautiful light designs and located right below the lobby with a Grand staircase leading you to the foyer of this elegant ballroom.

Unique Reception Spaces

The West Rooftop

This space is so dynamic where you can have the ceremony on one side, with a curtain opening up to your reception or dinner, then reopening to a night club atmosphere for the late night party. The premiere spot at the Andaz San Diego!

Studio Loft

The Studio Loft used to be a night club called the Envy at the Ivy, this unique space still has it all! May not be the place for the ceremony however if you are looking for a reception or after party that has the lights, the sound and the scenery, then this is the room for you.

Full Rooftop

The West Roof can also be used as a full rooftop depending on what type of event you are looking to host. The 4,500 square foot space is the largest rooftop in San Diego and if you are looking to shine, this is the place to do it. Come see this blank canvas and make it yours.

Confirmation of Space and Deposits

An initial non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your date along with a signed contract.

Enhancements

Little touches can enhance your wedding– from late night snacks, to next morning brunches, to gift bags delivered to your guest rooms.

Guest Accommodations

A room block may be set up for guests attending your event. Check in time is 4:00pm and check out time is 11:00am. If you would like to setup a block of rooms, a minimum of ten guestrooms must be guaranteed or the prevailing hotel rate will be offered.

Rehearsal Dinner

Entertain your closest friends and family in an elegant and intimate setting, by having your rehearsal dinner in one of our private spaces. We will help you customize a menu and other details, so you can concentrate on your upcoming big day.

Gift Bags

Our team is ready to assist in delivering your guests amenities of gifts you may wish to share. A $5.00 charge per bag will apply to any gifts given out to your guests and delivered to their guestrooms.

Fairwell Brunch

The perfect ending to the perfect weekend. Treat your overnight guests to breakfast the next day. Your Wedding Specialist will arrange for a private room with dedicated waiters to serve your guests. This final touch will allow you to reminisce about the wedding and wish everyone farewell before you leave for your honeymoon.

Parking

Event self-parking is available and will be discounted to $27 per vehicle. Event valet parking will be discounted to $32 per vehicle. Standard overnight rates apply, based on hotel availabilty.

Wedding Menu Tasting

With so many delicious custom menu options, it is hard to make a decision on what to eat on your big day! Luckily we provide a complimentary tasting of our delicious wedding menu selections for you, your fiancé, and two additional guests - a month prior to the big day.

Wedding Coordinator

Andaz San Diego requires that the services of a licensed wedding coordinator be hired.
